plus sur une commande donnée et son utilisation, vous pouvez consulter le
manuel de la commande, ou « <span class="quote">page de man</span> ». La syntaxe pour la
commande <span class="command"><strong>man</strong></span> est :

<p><a name="BIdNEW-cmdline-intro-chapter-pa158"></a>Les sections sont
comparables aux différents chapitres d'un gros livre, chacune traite d'un
aspect spécifique du système. Certaines commandes peuvent apparaître dans
différentes sections, aussi vous devrez peut-être spécifier quelle section
vous intéresse.

<p><a name="BIdNEW-cmdline-intro-chapter-pa159"></a>Les sections sont
numérotées de <code class="literal">1</code>à <code class="literal">9</code>, et il en existe
une 10 <sup>ème</sup>, nommée <code class="literal">n</code>. Vous
pouvez aussi spécifier <code class="literal">a</code> pour afficher toutes les
sections qui correspondent à une page de manuel donnée. Si vous n'indiquez
pas de paramètre <code class="option">section</code>, la première page de manuel
correspondante est affichée.

<p><a name="BIdNEW-cmdline-intro-chapter-pa160"></a><span class="command"><strong>man</strong></span> a
aussi sa propre page de manuel : exécutez la commande <span class="command"><strong>man
man</strong></span> pour l'afficher.
