2008-06-01  Paul Sherman <psherman2001@gmail.com>
	+ version 3.7
	+ Philip Heuer's patch, makes compatible with gcc-4.3 build
	+ and eliminates several deprecation warnings.
	+ Also tweaked text in info/license display to wrap.

2007-04-21  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	+ version 3.6
	+ Bug fix. Don't atempt to close inittab file if not found.

2006-11-16  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	+ version 3.5
	+ Removed fglrx_xgamma calls for those using ATI drivers,
	  due to reports that latest ATI drivers did not return,
	  set gamma properly using the command.
	  Was tested and verified on Ubuntu 6.10.

2005-09-09  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 3.4
	* take into account graphical logon for
	  Slackware, which uses initdefault 4 (in inittab)

2005-06-09  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 3.3
	* accomodated presence of "fglrx_xgamma" for users
	  of ATI's proprietary drivers.

2005-04-09  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 3.2
	* tweaked Color patches to make them easier to use,
	           putting solid section inside and eliminating
			   gray inner borders.
	* added Reintroduced grayscale ramp. I was persuaded
	           it had value, not the least of which to
			   alert folks of trouble if their bit depth
			   was set too low.

2005-04-06  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 3.1
	* fixed    3.0 passed 0.00 values to /.monicarc
	           I had pulled a passed value during
			   testing and forgot to put it back in.
			   I'm OK now.

2005-04-06  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 3.0
	* added split-level color patches to set
	           individual colors to a 2.2 gamma
	* added    Black Point target
	* removed color ramps, which were useless
	           unless your color was way off
	* added buttons alongside sliders to fine-
	           tune gamma adjustments.
	* added a How To section in the info file
	* changed cleaned up code, eliminated compile
	           warnings and added more comments
    * changed tooltips -- more explicit and
	           plentiful. Hopefuly easier to use.

2005-04-04  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 2.6
	* changed  UI tweaks, again
	           made changing slider focus and use of arrow
			   keys to fine-tune gamma adjustments easier.

2005-03-20  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 2.5
	* changed  UI tweaks

2005-03-14  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 2.4
	* added sanity checks. Ensures availability of
	           xgamma, readability of /etc/inittab and
			   for graphical login users that their shell
			   is Bash. Feedback and appropriate actions
			   taken.
    * new will release binaries for GCC-3.3.4 and 3.2.3.
			   Previous Slackware package had 3.3.4 build.

2005-03-12  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 2.3
	* added more robust search for bash init files
	           in home dir for graphical login users.
			   Now includes ~/.bash_login and ~/.profile
			   as well as default ~/.bash_profile to make
			   call to monicarc on system startup.
	* changed: "modularized" code to more cleanly find
	           startup files and to ease further development
			   to include users of csh shell.
	* changed: ~/.monicarc file now lists as a comment
	           what file is calling it on startup.

2005-03-03  Paul Sherman <psherma1@rochester.rr.com>
	* version 2.2
	* Eureka!: I believe I have made monica work in startup
	           automatically for most everybody.
	* changed: graphical-logon users will have .monicarc
	           settings called from  ~/.bash_profile,
			   while non-graphical logons will still use
			   the dependable ~/.xinitrc.
	* echo : all startup changes are made on ONLY a
	           per-user basis. I think it will work for
			   everyone :)
