  Due to wrong devfsd config /dev/log timestamp has been updated which
  resulted in minilogd attempting to exit and flush buffers. It tried to
  connect to itself and hung if too many connection requests were pending.
  The patch sets connection timeout to 30 seconds (it was 2**31-1 before).
  - kernel 2.5 support including:
  + mount sysfs on /sys
  + handle both usbdevfs and usbfs in rc.sysinit
  + use modprobe -c | grep instead of gre[ /etc/modules.conf everywhere
  - use /etc/modprobe.preload instead of /etc/modules on 2.5.
