considérations concernant du matériel nouveau tel que les
systèmes <span class="foreignphrase"><i class="foreignphrase">legacy-free</i></span>, les
cartes d'accélération graphique nVidia 3D, et d'autres choses
qui ne rentrent pas dans les sections précédentes.</p></div><p><b>Systèmes
<span class="foreignphrase"><i class="foreignphrase">legacy-free</i></span>. </b><a class="indexterm" name="BIdNEW-troubleshooting-it31"></a>
Les fabricants ont récemment introduit ce qu'ils appellent des
systèmes « <span class="quote">legacy free</span> », surtout sur les ordinateurs
portables<sup>[<a name="id2592180" href="#ftn.id2592180">19</a>]</sup>. Ceci signifie que le
<span class="application">BIOS</span> a été significativement réduit pour vous permettre de
choisir quel médium vous voulez démarrer. Dans certains cas,
<span class="application">GNU/Linux</span> sera apte à tout configurer tout
correctement. Malheureusement, dans certains cas, vous devrez
appliquer le correctif (<span class="foreignphrase"><i class="foreignphrase">patch</i></span>)
<span class="acronym">ACPI</span>.</p><p><b>Cartes graphiques nVidia
3D. </b><a class="indexterm" name="BIdNEW-troubleshooting-it32"></a><a class="indexterm" name="BIdNEW-troubleshooting-it33"></a>Les ordinateurs
possédant des cartes graphiques nVidia nécessitent un
correctif noyau pour utiliser l'accélération matérielle OpenGL
3D sur les applications compatibles avec OpenGL. Le noyau
devrait être installé par <span class="application">DrakX</span>. Cependant, si ce n'est
pas le cas, veuillez installer les paquetages relatifs, soit
depuis le <a href="http://www.nvidia.com" target="_top">site Web de
nVidia</a> ou depuis le <a href="http://www.mandrakeclub.com" target="_top">Mandrakeclub</a>,
lancez le <span class="application">Centre de contrôle Mandrakelinux</span> et

l'installation que votre ordinateur est notablement plus lent,
vous pouvez essayer de contourner ce « <span class="quote">problème</span> »
en désactivant l'<span class="acronym">ACPI</span>. Pour ce faire,
ajoutez la ligne suivante à votre fichier

<span><b class="command">lilo -v</b></span> en tant que <tt class="literal">root</tt> et redémarrez la
