Bruce Fields <bfields@citi.umich.edu> This patch fixes a fairly straightforward use of an uninitialized list_head. I'm not aware of anyone having hit this in RHEL, but one of our customers has requested that we take it and I'm inclined to agree. All it does is move an INIT_LIST_HEAD call earlier in the function. I've had this patch in my test kernels for a little while and haven't seen any adverse effects from it. Upstream patch description follows: -----------------------------[snip]--------------------------------- Thanks to Matthew Dodd for this bug report: A file label issue while running SELinux in MLS mode provoked the following bug, which is a result of use before init on a 'struct list_head'. In nfsd4_list_rec_dir() if the call to dentry_open() fails the 'goto out' skips INIT_LIST_HEAD() which results in the normally improbable case where list_entry() returns NULL. Trace follows.
